//New Album - Many Hands Should Throw Stones
Many Hands Should Throw Stones is now finally available to the public. Here is a brief review from Postindusty:

The "Sleeping Pictures" Duo made their debut with support of Warsaw's Fluttering Dragon. Their album "Nether Edge" hosted artists such as, Tony Wakeford and John Murphy as special guests and it is not surprising that it was filled with compositions with the neofolk's roots as well as elements of "uptown blues". Although the album received positive reviews it has disappeared from the market because of lack of promotion. This year "Sleeping Pictures "is back under the label of the Italian record company "Old Europa Café". (Not only has the label has been changed but also the music and it's only for the good of the duo)

Although "Sleeping Pictures" still play their songs they are no longer only acoustic songs. Truly they are closer to "Indie-rock" than to "neofolk". With echoes of previous achievements you can hear in "I Failed You", "God Or Whatever", "Absence" and "Not Alone" and songs like "The Broken City Sleep" together with its amazing chorus of guitars it will no doubt be liked by the fans of "My Bloody Valentine" or "Slowdiwe". The looping of the drums from "Kodak Moment" however sound quite close to "Portishead". There is a lot of these kind of surprises in the album and I am not going to take away from you the pleasure and fun of discovering them all.

In "Many Hands Should Throw Stones" there is plenty of experimentation with keyboards, which takes prominence next to the soloist. A cabaret sound of a piano from "Saviour's Knuckles" adds colour and vibrancy ; when we ignore all the arrangements and production details, all we will have left is just great songs of reflection with slightly abstract texts. "Many Hands Should Throw Stones" in short is probably a bit of crazy, eccentric, intelligent rock."
